Lodge Getaway in the Pacific Northwest
October has always been my favorite month. It's fall, its crisp, everyone is drinking apple cider and pumpkin spice lattes, its sweater season, I get to wear my favorite Timberland boots (I swear by them, they are the most comfortable shoe I own) and best of all it's my birthday month! Now I've always loved celebrating my birthday, but sometimes I get tired of sharing it with halloween. I wanted to have a weekend away from the crazy, and we had to celebrate Zach's birthday too, as he is on the 18th.
We decided to take a weekend trip to Skamania Lodge a destination hotel in Stevenson Washington, along the columbia river gorge. And it was gorg! (I make bad mom jokes, sorry). I packed as many fall outfits as I could, and I'll share them with you below each photo! Thanks and happy Sunday :)
I am in love with any kind of thick wool sock, and especially at fall time! TBH, I stole these socks from Zach because I couldn't find mine and my feet were cold! They are Columbia brand from Costco! (Gotta get those deals) The sweater I also stole from my best friend. I promise the pants are mine and they are American Eagle Outfitters.
We were able to stay another day and went on a quick trip across the river to Hood River Oregon. It's one of my favorite little towns! Super clean, with really friendly people and really good food! I saw so many cute dogs and they even had a farmers market and a harvest festival! It was like Parks and Rec.
Anywho, I wanted to look super fall so I threw on my Tims, jeans, a really warm Northface sweatshirt/long sleeve and a down vest. To top it off, it was the first time I got to wear a beanie this fall! I loved it!
Overall it was a very relaxing trip. We were even able to sit and read and drink wine LIKE ADULTS OMG. It was magical. I know the outdoors and lodges and lots of people isn't for everyone, but I also made the best of it and got up early when no one was there, got the most of out of my time and took my damn time getting out of bed (after I got back in after sunrise photos of course). I highly recommend!
